FAITH, the latest AURA Pictures short film, makes UK premiere at the Cardiff International Film Festival
After touring festivals all over the world (from Canada and the United States to France and Australia) Faith lands in the British Isles with the official selection at the Cardiff International Film Festival. The 7th edition took place from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th October 2022 and brought together filmmakers from across the Globe.
The festival, supported by the Welsh Assembly and Cardiff Council, is a reflection of the growth of the film industry in the region. According to the organization, "Wales is rapidly becoming a Mecca for filmmakers with the advent of new film studios and an ever-growing popularity of film locations in unique areas of outstanding natural beauty".
FAITH tells the story of the friendship of two children living in parallel dimensions. In the words of its director, Carol Butrón, it is "an entirely intuitive project both in its conception and in its story". In this sense, as spectators were able to see at the festival, music takes on a special importance in the narrative.

Tras recorrer festivales de todo el mundo (desde Canadá y Estados Unidos hasta Francia y Australia) Faith aterriza en las Islas Británicas con la selección oficial en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Cardiff. La 7ª edición se celebró del viernes 28 al domingo 30 de octubre de 2022 y reunió a cineastas de todo el planeta.
El festival, apoyado por la Asamblea de Gales y el Ayuntamiento de Cardiff, es un reflejo del crecimiento de la industria cinematográfica en la región. Según la organización, "Gales se está convirtiendo rápidamente en una meca para los cineastas con la llegada de nuevos estudios de cine y una popularidad cada vez mayor de las localizaciones cinematográficas en zonas únicas de excepcional belleza natural".
FAITH narra la historia de amistad de dos niños que habitan en dimensiones paralelas. En palabras de su directora, Carol Butrón, se trata de "un proyecto enteramente intuitivo tanto en su concepción como en su historia". En este sentido, como los espectadores pudieron recibir en el festival, la música cobra una especial importancia en la narración.
